Primary 5 had a fantastic time celebrating Roald Dahl Day! To begin, we read the first two chapters of our new class novel, Fantastic Mr Fox. Before seeing the front cover, the children used the clues from the text to imagine what it might look like. They made some brilliant predictions and then created their own front cover illustrations, each one full of colour, creativity and clever ideas.
In the afternoon, we took inspiration from Mr Fox himself and put our sense of smell to the test! The children worked in teams to investigate six mystery containers, using only their noses to guess what was hidden inside. Just like Mr Fox, they had to rely on their sharp senses to solve the challenges. There was lots of laughter, some tricky guesses and plenty of excitement as each mystery was revealed.
It was a wonderful day of imagination, problem-solving and fun. Primary 5 showed fantastic creativity, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout and we are all very excited to keep reading Fantastic Mr Fox together.
